    Kybellain Boston

The double chin eliminator you've been waiting for! Kybella is an exciting new drug that helps to dissolve fat below the jawline in order to minimize the appearance of a double chin.

As a cost-effective alternative to liposuction, Kybella can help you achieve similar results without surgery and with minimal downtime. Say goodbye to your double-chin and enjoy a more sculpted, youthful contour with as few as two treatments.

How Does Kybella Eliminate a Double Chin?

Kybella contains a patented synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule that helps metabolize dietary fat. When injected properly into the fat it destroys fat cells and helps eliminate a double chin.

    How is Kybella Administered?

A Kybella treatment is typically a 15-20 minute in-office procedure. First, anatomical planning is made with boundaries drawn to mark the treatment area. Second, dose planning is done with respect to the amount of fullness which needs to be addressed. Typically 10-30 shots are given with a needle the same size as our very small Botox needles. The dosing and number of shots is customized for each of our Boston Kybella patients.

How Many Treatments Are Needed With Kybella?

Most patients treated with Kybella experience visible contouring of their chin profile in 2-4 treatments. Some patients may require up to 6 treatments to achieve the desired results. Once your chin profile has improved, you may not need to be treated with Kybella again. Unlike most other cosmetic injectables, results from Kybella appear to be very long lasting. Kybella FAQs

For most patients, downtime is minimal and occurs most commonly after the first treatment session. Minimal bruising, pain, numbness, redness, and areas of hardness in the treatment area might get in the way of some social plans and work commitments for the week following the procedure. Downtime seems to be decreased with subsequent treatments.

Kybella treatments should be done 6-8 weeks apart.
